Duties Description Our Assembly Republican office of Research and Public Policy is looking for a highly motivated and qualified candidate for the position of Legislative Analyst.
This person will be able to produce memoranda and other related materials to assist Assembly Members in responding to constituent inquiries, as well as preparing for meetings and Session Floor debates. Further responsibilities include analyzing legislation referred to assigned standing committees and briefing committee members on that legislation; developing, drafting legislation and new public policy proposals as well as conducting research projects in their respective subject area.
In addition to the description above, applicants must possess strong analytical, interpersonal, and writing skills as well as have an interest in public policy. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. There is room for growth and advancement for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
