Duties Description Lead Regional analysis of potential risk related to internal controls for fiscal management and Regional Administration, supervising fiscal responsibilities, including identifying problems and challenges, reviewing and analyzing current practices relating to revenue, accounts payables, receivables, SFS, purchasing, and travel; coordinate Region’s purchasing and travel cards; maintain and process accounts receivable or payable transactions, compile and prepare financial data for budgetary purposes, reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies. Train staff on SFS fiscal systems.
Document current business processes and business flows for Regional Administration, and update policy, administrative and procedural manuals.
Administrative assistant to the Regional Director.
Supervise or coordinate the efforts of lower-level administrative support employees in
compiling specific studies, surveys, projects, and documentation.
Act as backup for the Regional Administrative Specialist 1 with personnel matters,
including the Employee Orientation Program.
Act as backup to the IT Regional Coordinator.
Update and maintain various office equipment.
Handle special projects and assignments, as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications Reassignment - Currently in the title and an employee of DEC.

Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.
or
Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 11 or higher and eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

For new State employees appointed to graded positions, the annual salary is the hiring rate (beginning of the Salary Range) of the position. Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
