Duties Description This position is the campground assistant supervisor of Lake Eaton Campground. Major duties will include managing maintenance, cleaning staff, and booth staff daily assignments and duties. Computer program operation, record keeping, daily/weekly financial audits, organizing daily assignments to staff, explaining and enforcing policies, training staff and monitoring general staff and public campground activities. Will be required to supervise multiple employees, which include booth, maintenance staff, and scheduling. Ensure that staff understand their job duties and any other issues/concerns are addressed in a timely manner with clear direction on how to improve performance. Making sure to communicate any issues with supervisors. Assignments should always take into consideration in safety of the employees. All injuries to staff should be reported in a timely manner as per guidance provided.
-Must live at the campground during the period of operations, without exceptions (see Recreation Manual #211.1)
- Will be required to operate a personal computer for revenue accounting purposes, permit issuance and completion of the daily time card system.
-Must work all weekends and holidays through the summer.
-Must be willing and able to respond to emergencies at the facility regardless of the time factor, a day/night.
-Must be willing and able to do manual work in the park.
-Must be even-tempered and capable of communicating with the public as well as subordinates and supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. Preference may be given to candidates 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
Additional Comments This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 11/30/2026. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.
Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.
Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.
Must be able to work in remote areas.
Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.
Overtime may be required.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
Must reside in State Housing.
