BASE SALARY: $94,386 + $4,920 LOCATION PAY
CLASSIFICATION: NON-COMPETITIVE/CONFIDENTIAL
Management Analysts report to the Director of their assigned unit or other administrator, and are responsible for supervising a number of on-going projects involving confidential research, analysis and planning, related to court administration and management. Management Analysts also sometimes participate in complex projects under the direction of other supervisory personnel, work with substantial independence from supervision on individual research projects, and perform other related duties.
This position is assigned to OCA Counsel’s Office. Duties include, but are not limited to: working closely with attorneys representing judges, court administrators and personnel, and the Unified Court System; collaborating with assistant deputy counsel in preparing responses to complaints and discovery requests; reviewing, summarizing, and organizing discovery (especially e-discovery), pleadings and other legal documents; conducting intake on new cases and working with supervisory attorneys to route matters; conducting some legal research and drafting under the direction of assistant deputy counsel; filing legal documents on NYCEF and PACER; and preparing and managing exhibits for depositions and motion papers; processing litigation hold request letters, gathering information, preserving documents and responding to AG in coordination with Litigators regarding such requests; serving as contact for EEOC complaints; conducting UCC searches; inputting and updating matters in and maintaining internal case management system; generating case reports; managing Westlaw, Lexis, and NYLJ subscriptions; assisting with record-retention policies.
Minimum Qualifications One year in the Principal Court Analyst title; or Master's degree in Public or Business Administration from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of relevant experience; or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
