Duties Description This position is located within the Bureau of Program Implementation and Enrollment (BPIE) in the Division of Health Plan Contracting and Oversight (DHPCO) and will help ensure compliance by Medicaid managed care plans with contractual and regulatory requirements with a variety of member NYS Medicaid Managed Care (MMC) member materials. The incumbent will be the Member Notices and Outreach Unit Manager and will be responsible for overseeing member communications to ensure plan compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements; identifying areas of non-compliance with both federal and state regulations and communicating with other Bureaus within DHPCO, contractor staff, and MMC plans in the resolution of such issues; assisting in the implementation and oversight of the MMC program in New York State; participating in and leading Medicaid program workgroups; and supervision of multiple assigned staff.

Minimum Qualifications Reassignment:
Current NYS DOH employee with a permanent of contingent-permanent, competitive status as a Health Program Administrator 2, G-25.

Transfer:
A NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title at or above a G23 and deemed eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator 2, G-25 under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the NYS Civil Service Law.

The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of NYS Medicaid Managed Care (MMC) and experience overseeing various projects concurrently; reviewing complex materials/documents; and offering technical support to external and internal organizations.
