Duties Description • Collect, tabulate, and recommend entitlement allocation for food programs.
• Monitor entitlement allocations and identify deficiencies, draw conclusions from data, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Analyze food inventory and distribute food accordingly.
• Review delivery slips for deficiencies and adjust database inventory as required.
• Monitor and evaluate deliveries for accuracy. Identify deficiencies and notify the USDA for problem resolution.
• Gather commodity complaint information from customers for review and submission to the USDA.
• Monitor various contracts and agreements.
• Review and analyze financial data and expenditures. Identify and determine adjustments.
• Determine eligibility and enroll schools in food programs.
• Perform physical inventories and administrative annual reviews at distributors and food banks. Identify deficiencies and determine adjustments.
• Effectively correspond and collaborate with customers, vendors, and USDA to ensure program deadlines are met.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and delivery of a variety of reports via PowerPoint, webinars, or onsite conferences and training.
• Efficiently utilize program inventory systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Assist in revising policy and procedures manuals.
• Perform a full range of supervisory activities.
• Perform other duties as required.
Operational Needs:
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver’s License issued by the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle is required.
• Flexibility to work in environments of fluctuating temperatures.
Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.
