Duties Description St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW to supervise social work staff and plan, develop, implement, and evaluate social work programs and services. Candidates within State Service can apply.
As a Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW, your duties will include:
• Supervising social work staff
• Diagnosing mental, emotional, behavioral disorders
• Administering and interpreting tests and measures of psychosocial functioning
• Developing and implementing assessment-based treatment plans
• Providing psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic treatment
• Completing required records and documentation
Minimum Qualifications Candidates within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they are reachable on the current Social Work Supervisor 1 LCSW eligible list.
OR
Employees appointed to a non-competitive position via the NY HELPS program to a qualifying title in the non-competitive class will have their names restricted from appointment from the eligible list until their position is covered-in to the competitive class by action of the New York State Civil Service Commission or otherwise obtain permanent competitive status in the position.
If you have received a permanent appointment to a qualifying title listed and served provisionally in that title immediately preceding your permanent appointment, such provisional service may be counted towards meeting the one year time in title required for appointment from the eligible list. the eligible list.

Additional Comments:
Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment. 7% shift differential for evening shift. 10% shift differential for night shift.

1. In order to be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program). If you are appointed and subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally-assisted program), you may be terminated from your employment.
2. If appointed you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider; obtain and provide to your employer a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPES); and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicaid and Medicare, you may be terminated from your employment.
3. Continued employment as a Social Work Supervisor 1 (LCSW) is dependent upon current licensure and registration by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Loss of licensure and registration may result in removal from employment.
