Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Regional Trades Specialist, (SG-12), or designee, the incumbent may perform journey-level work in the primary trade of Masonry. Duties may include performing both skilled and semi-skilled tasks, ensuring operational efficiency and adhering to safety standards. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Perform masonry-related tasks including layout procedures, blueprint reading, mixing products, and overall coordination of assigned projects.
• Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, equipment, and vehicles necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and codes.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) related to job tasks assigned.
• May perform medium to heavy manual labor as part of daily tasks. Must be capable of lifting up to 60lbs.
• Collaborate with other staff, contractors, and vendors to complete work efficiently.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
• Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Must comprehend and understand safety regulations on all aspects of operation.
• Must possess essential skills in problem solving, critical thinking and decision making.
• Must be qualified and medically cleared to wear a respirator and have a knowledge of good safety practices.
***Under the provisions of the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (1991), this position has been designated Safety Sensitive. The candidate is required to participate in pre-employment, random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
