Duties Description The Medicaid Integrity Specialist 3 (Financial Analysis) will oversee the planning, development, implementation and management of audits and/or special reviews assigned; establish priorities among pending audits and evaluate staffing needs; provide administrative supervision and guidance to the staff assigned to audits; ensure uniform application of program policies and resolve technical conflicts as they arise; review, edit, and approve the various staff audit reports; report regularly to the Assistant Medicaid Inspector General for Audit and the Director of the Bureau of Provider Audit on the status of audits and reviews; and act as focal point in the assigned project area for disseminating revisions of policy and/or agency protocols. The Medicaid Integrity Specialist 3 (Financial Analysis) for this location will be one of the Liaisons with upper-level management.

Minimum Qualifications To be eligible for appointment, candidates must be reachable on the OMIG promotional list for Medicaid Integrity Specialist 3 (Financial Analysis) or be a current New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent permanent services in a title deemed eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal/written communication, analytical and personal skills; knowledge/experience with computers, particularly for audit activities and audit targeting. Experience in audits for fee-for-service providers of various specialties.

Additional Comments Position is eligible for location pay of $4,000
