Duties Description • Supervision of mailroom staff.
• Oversight of mail room services, supply and equipment inventories, reproduction services and fleet management.
• Liaison to the building superintendent. Coordinate building related issues between staff and building management.
• Order supplies for the stockroom as required.
• Receipt and distribution of supplies and other equipment.
• Work closely with OASAS staff to ensure agency policies are implemented.
• Prepare purchase requisitions for goods and services.
• Perform timely and accurate data entry (e.g., SFS, Equipment and Stockroom Inventory, etc.).
• Coordinate the preparation, transmission, and retrieval of records with the NYS Records Center with the agency’s Records Management Officer.
• Coordinate fleet operations.
• Work with staff and supervisors to identify and evaluate Office Services operations for cost savings measures and efficiencies as warranted.
• Coordinate the conference room set-ups and assist with set-ups as necessary; and other duties as assigned.
• Coordinate special projects as necessary.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with permanent status as an Office Assistant 3 and interested in transfer ~OR~ Reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Office Assistant 3 ~OR~ eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Promotion: One year as an Office Assistant 2; or one year of permanent service in a clerical, keyboarding, or paraprofessional title allocated to Grade 7 or higher.

$56,655 - $70,869
*Plus $4,000 Location Pay

The salary range listed in this posting reflects the full range for this graded position, factoring in annual performance advances based on satisfactory annual performance reviews. Candidates with no previous State service will begin at the hiring rate (starting rate of the salary range) listed above, plus any applicable Location Pay/Geographic Pay/Shift Pay differentials.

Promotion salaries are calculated by the NYS Office of the State Comptroller in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law, OSC Payroll rules and regulations and negotiated union contracts.
