Duties Description 1. License Issuance
a. Review and process license applications
b. Collect fees
c. Issue licenses
d. Participate in daily reconciliation of revenue
2. Communication with the Public
a. Provide information to applicants, license holders, and the general public about licenses, fishing regulations and other marine issues
b. Communicate with the public by telephone, in person, by email, and regular mail
c. Provide coverage for the reception window in the lobby, assisting building visitors and directing inquiries as needed
3. Clerical Tasks
a. Conduct the daily operation of the Marine Permit Office under supervision of administrators and supervisors
b. Handle and process incoming mail
c. File and organize mail, permit applications, and other paperwork
d. Print and copy files, applications, regulations, and other needed documents
e. Take periodic inventory of office supplies and maintain inventory records
f. Receive packages for the building and notify appropriate staff of their arrival
Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this title.
Preferred:
1. Ability to use a computer, printer, and other office equipment
2. Ability to effectively communicate with the public in person and by telephone
3. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and interact with the public in a courteous manner
Additional Comments Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
Telecommuting may be available up to 50% of work schedule, will be discussed at interview.
