Duties Description As part of the Statewide Financial System (SFS) Customer Experience and Engagement Pillar and Production Support Bureau, the Procurement Contracts and Grants Management Support (PCGM) Manager will be responsible for Procurement Contract and Grants Management customer service. The focus will be on continuous improvement of customer service and expanding system knowledge for the team.
This team will provide incident and user support for the Procurement Contract, Supplier Contract Management, Contract Audit, and Sourcing modules. This manager will also engage in long and short-term assignments and high priority Service Delivery projects related to the improvement of the SFS. In addition, this position will support and manage resources where appropriate related to recurring business events.
They will also expand PeopleSoft module expertise to team members and coordinate knowledge transfer from project teams to the Production Support Bureau. They will work with team members to write documentation to improve the customer experience and develop customer focused solutions to issues agencies encounter.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage and provide guidance to team members to ensure excellent customer service.
• Manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional environment.
• Improve/write solution documentation for complex problems.
• Provide updates to SFS management on key trends.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Document and communicate solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Interact with high-level stakeholders including top agency executives and vendors.
• Establish and foster strong relationships with SFS customers.
Minimum Qualifications This position is open to NYS employees with one year
permanent, competitive service as an Information Technology
Specialist 4, G-25, or in a title deemed eligible for transfer under
Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. This transfer
cannot be a second, consecutive transfer resulting in an
advancement of more than two grades. In order to qualify for a
Section 70.1 transfer, candidates must have one year of
permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title such as
Information Technology Specialist 4 (Database), G-25 and
Information Technology Specialist 4 (Systems Programmer), G-
25. In order to qualify for a Section 52.6 transfer, candidates
must have one year of permanent, competitive service in a
qualifying administrative title such as Assistant Director of
Financial Administration 1, G-25; Project Manager 2, G-25; and
Supervisor Administrative Analysis, G-25. Candidates reachable
on the eligible list will be considered through canvass and need
not apply.
