Duties Description The Phlebotomist will be responsible for creating lab slips from medical provider orders and coding each test appropriately, preparing lab slips and maintaining and tracking resident unit lab books. The incumbent will assist with lab result monitoring and clinical notifications. They will ensure phlebotomy supplies are always available, fresh, and safe for use. That will consist of checking and recording refrigerator temperature daily. They will manage phone calls and messages throughout the day with follow up action as required, along with sending and receiving fax communication as warranted and requested.
Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of experience as a phlebotomist or a certificate in Phlebotomy from a recognized college, school, training program, hospital, health care facility, or the Armed Services.
