Duties Description The New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) provides operational support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, supporting more than 4,900 applications for 53 New York State Agencies.
Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology Services 1 within Dedicated Support/OTDA/OTDA division, the Information Technology Specialist 3 (Systems Programming), SG-23 will serve as a database ETL manager supporting multiple agency priority projects and applications.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Develop and administer database Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processing utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Develop and administer advanced database reports utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services.
• Administer and configure database conversions and data migrations for legacy agency applications.
• Manage database remediation efforts to meet security compliance standards and ensure database platforms are on latest release versions.
• Assist in Federal audit of agency applications and databases; coordinate remediation efforts.
• Perform full range of supervisory tasks
Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Appointment to this position and continued employment with the agency is contingent upon obtaining and/or maintaining New York State residency within six months of hiring.

Additional Comments ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. If eligible, positions located in New York City will receive an additional $3,400 downstate adjustment location pay with regular annual salary. Positions located in the Mid-Hudson will receive an additional $1,650 adjustment location pay.
