Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Assist Department of Motor Vehicle Appeals Board attorneys in reviewing administrative appeals based on Vehicle and Traffic Law and Freedom of Information Law, including:

•Review underlying appeal record including summons, transcript, investigation reports, appellant evidence, crash reports, ALJ decision, and other relevant documents
•Apply Vehicle and Traffic Law to the facts of individual appeals to make recommendations for appeal decisions
•Draft proposed appeal decisions
•Perform legal research
•Assist with other tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at a law school recognized by the New York State Education Department.

Additional Comments Hours of the position will be discussed at the time of interview, including questions regarding Flextime, AWS/Compressed workweek and Telecommuting.
