Minimum Qualifications Current Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a PRS 3 (HSA) OR NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a PRS 3 or in a G-21 or higher title, deemed eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science, public health or a related field and professional experience in that field. Proficient with MS Office such as Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SAS. Strong communication and writing skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in groups.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will be working in the Data Management, Analysis, and Research Group in the Office of Primary Care and Health System Management. Major responsibilities of this position include: Working with databases, including database administration and cleanup; analyzing data and producing data driven analysis and reports; assisting surveillance staff in the use of the Automated Survey Processing Environment (ASPEN). Other tasks will be assigned as needed.
