Minimum Qualifications Lift objects or pets up to 50 pounds
Posses valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record by time of appointment
Follow directions with and without direct supervision
Recognize certain behaviors in animals
The ability to learn and understand medical terminology and minor procedures
The ability to admit or ask questions when a task is unclear
The ability to work with computers and other office equipment
The ability to spell, alphabetize, and perform basic mathematics

Duties Description Primate & rodent colony husbandry on weekends and holidays
Assist with dog, cat and rodent colony (rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters) husbandry during academic breaks
Husbandry includes cleaning and sanitizing animals caging and housing areas, feeding, medicating as needed
Reporting on the animals daily condition on medical forms and to the staff and facility manager
Supervise student volunteers and student work study employees
Tasks may be added as deemed necessary for the safety and wellbeing of our patients
In the event of an urgent matters or emergency situations, regardless of the day or time of day, this employee will contact appropriate personnel or safety officers
