Minimum Qualifications TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: This position is designated as administrative and may also be filled via transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law, provided all transfer criteria are met. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should possess strong leadership, analytical and communication skills. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment and possess excellent technical skills. The candidate must be proficient in handling complex issues, possess a strong working knowledge of federal grant reporting requirements, public budgeting and financial management and be familiar with various financial reporting systems.

Duties Description The Director of Financial Administration 6 will plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate agency budgeting, fiscal, expenditure control and business administration activities to ensure that the financial resources under the jurisdiction of this agency are managed properly and in accordance with State and Federal laws, rules and regulations. The Director of Financial Administration 6 will also provide fiscal information, analyses and recommendations to the Commissioner of Labor, Chief Financial Officer and other Executive staff; develop and revise agency fiscal and business administration policies, programs and procedures; and evaluate the overall effectiveness of the Department’s fiscal operations.
