Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Administrative Aide, Assistant Workers' Compensation Examiner, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 and Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding. Candidates who have not held a permanent keyboarding title will be required to pass a performance test.

Duties Description The incumbent will serve as the secretary to the District Manager and Senior Law Judge of the Buffalo District Office, and provide essential administrative support for Claims Operation Management. Duties include but are not limited to: Preparing written correspondence; process mail; answer telephones; maintain office equipment: copiers, fax machines and printers; make travel arrangements; coordinate Executive Correspondence for the Buffalo District; organize and maintain files for the District Manager; create and update excel spreadsheets used for a variety of administrative reports; prepare drafts of the monthly hearing schedule for the Buffalo District; coordinating performance evaluations, acting as liaison to Human Resources; coordinating Impartial Specialist referrals; distributing selected performance reports to Adjudication staff and scheduling and facilitating meetings; and assist with the weekly preparation of the district hearing calendar.
