Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be current state employees and have a reachable score on the Office Assistant 2 list or
Have a current permanent appointment with 1 year of service as a Office Assistant 2 or to a title eligible for transfer to Office Assistant 2 or
Appointment as a Office Assistant 2 here at UAlbany, less than 1 year of service, (remainder of probationary period to be completed in new assignment) or
Be a former state employee eligible for reinstatement to the title of Office Assistant 2. May be filled from a mandatory reemployment list if one is in effect at time of appointment.

Duties Description Incumbent performs complicated clerical and administrative duties related to the Office of Graduate Education; serving in the primary role in the provision of Office of Graduate Education public contact services including coverage and service to telephone inquiries, in-person customers, as well as engaging in research and response activities for email and web-based inquires. Substantive knowledge of the department, including graduate policies and procedures, application review process, visa, immigration documentation, transcript and English proficiency requirements; training student employees, and assisting with the application fee waiver request process.
