Salary RangeFrom $61215 to $76450 Annually
Minimum Qualifications EITHER: 1) Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list (if you are on the eligible list for this title you will automatically be canvassed for this position if your score is reachable for potential employment); OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having permanent competitive service as a Senior Accountant (G-18); OR 3) eligible for transfer under the provisions of Section 70.1, 52.6 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description IOD accountants are given the opportunity to work with the various asset classes (Public Equity, Fixed Income, Private Equity, and Real Estate). Over time, IOD accountants will rotate through the asset classes to gain exposure and subject matter expertise in order to provide support to all of the investment areas.
The duties of the Senior Accountant include, but are not limited to, the following investment support activities:
-Trade processing and accounting related to internally managed investment portfolios
-Coordinating and monitoring investment portfolio reconciliation, reporting and accounting for externally managed investment portfolios including public market portfolios, as well as real estate and alternative investments
-Cash processing and other activities requiring interaction with the custodial bank
-Operational compliance functions of a statutory and regulatory nature
-Oversight and accounting for the securities lending program.
