Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years old. Must have and maintain NYS driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in maintenance, construction or landscape work. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and automotive maintenance. Certified in First Aid, CPR, AED
Duties Description Must be willing and able to do manual work in the campground, such as using rakes and shovels and operating push lawnmowers, leaf blowers and grass trimmers. Must be willing to clean restroom facilities and assist and manage operation of recycle stations within the campground in accordance with state, county and town laws. Incumbent will be responsible for the entire operation of the campground facility, including subordinate staff during the absence of the Conservation Recreation Facility Supervisor (CRFS). Incumbent will be required to stay at the campground overnight during the absence of the CRFS and must be willing to work undefined hours, ensuring continued operation of the facility. Must work weekends and holidays and will be required to work through Labor Day weekend as a term of employment. Must be willing to respond to emergencies while working at the facility regardless of the time – day or night. Must be able to read and understand the Campground Operations Manual and perform all functions defined within – being able to speak clearly and communicate with others, which will include enforcement of rules and regulations. Incumbent will supervise employees ensuring staff understand and carry out duties in a timely manner with consideration to the safety of all employees.
Additional Comments This is a temporary position with a duration of 4/19/18 through 11/30/18.

Must have valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and/or work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must reside in State Housing.
