Minimum Qualifications Permanent Qualifications: Candidates must currently be a permanent Treatment Team Leader – Developmental Disabilities OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.
Transfer Qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Treatment Team Leader – Developmental Disabilities position in the Quality Improvement Department is critical for maintaining oversight of Taconic’s residential and day programs and for ensuring compliance with new and developing state and federal mandates.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Provide supervisory oversight for the various staff within the department and its various internal units, including Incident Management, Medicaid Compliance, Family Care certification and Health Information Management
? Serve as the Incident Management Unit (IMU) liaison with Central Office IMU to ensure the completion of incident corrective action plans
? Oversee the work of the Incident Reporting Management Application (IRMA) Coordinator and the assigning of local investigators
? Ensure proper classification of all reported incidents and that appropriate protective measures are immediately put in place
? Oversee the Incident Coordinators in leading and directing the local Incident Management meeting
? Supervise the Medicaid Compliance Liaison assigned to Medicaid billing
? Responsible for seeing quarterly sample audits are completed timely, internal audits are performed and that Res Hab trainings are completed at least quarterly,
? Confirm Medicaid self-disclosures and voids are accurately completed and submitted to Central Office
? Oversee training of agency staff and the prevention of errors in the submission of Medicaid claims, avoiding lost revenue due to invalid or voided claims
? Provide oversight and final review of all Plans of Corrective Actions (POCAs), ensuring that all deficiencies noted by the Division of Quality Improvement and other oversight agencies have been appropriately corrected and resolved in a systemic manner
? Supervise QI staff responsible for the auditing and inspection of Family Care homes to ensure provider compliance with current governing regulations
? Serve as the liaison between State Operations and Counsel’s Office on incidents and/or administrative issues that impact provider’s operating certificate status
? Other duties as assigned
Participation in the AOC (Administrator on Call) system is required. Occasional evening/weekend hours to attend meetings may be required.
