Minimum Qualifications Permanent Qualifications: Candidates must currently be a permanent Mental Hygiene Program Evaluation Specialist 4 OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.

Transfer Qualifications: Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Mental Hygiene Program Evaluation Specialist 4 acts as the department head for the Quality Improvement Department and has supervisory responsibility for Medicaid Compliance, Family Care, Health Information Management, Incident Management, Policy and Procedure, Litigation Holds, and coordinates the response to all DQI statements of deficiencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Provides the final review of all Plans of Corrective Actions (POCAs) to ensure that all deficiencies noted by DQI have an appropriate correction and are addressed in a systemic manner.
? Responsible for directly supervising staff who have responsibility for completing incident management assignments; including special investigations, liaison with IMU, ensuring the completion of incident corrective action plans, overseeing the work of the Incident Reporting Management Application (IRMA) Coordinator and assigning local investigators
? Ensures the proper classification of all incidents, confirming appropriate protective measure are immediately put in place to protect the health and safety of the individuals
? Oversees the Incident Coordinators role in leading and directing the local Incident Management meeting
? Directly responsible for supervising the staff who audit and inspects Family Care Homes to ensure provider compliance
? Serves as the liaison between State Operations and Counsel’s Office for incidents or issues that impact a provider’s operating certificate
? Supervise the Medicaid Compliance Liaison assigned to Medicaid billing, ensuring quarterly sample audits are completed timely, corrective measures are put in place as required, Res Hab. trainings are completed at least quarterly, internal audits are performed, all Medicaid self-disclosures and voids are accurately completed and submitted
? Other duties as assigned
