Minimum Qualifications One year of experience in the operation of heavy equipment, which may include: bulldozers, front end loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, etc. Must have a valid NYS driver's license with Class B CDL with air brake endorsement.

Duties Description Critical maintenance and rehabilitation work on infrastructure and facilities including campgrounds, boat launch facilities, flood control facilities, recreational facilities, road systems, vehicles, foot trails, utilities, bridges and dams. These activities are essential to ensuring the protection of public health and safety.

Additional Comments Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and/or work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Actual work hours and schedule will be discussed at interview.

This is a temporary position with a duration of 5/1/18 through 11/30/18.
