Minimum Qualifications Must have four years of satisfactory full-time experience working under a skilled journey-level sign painter which would provide training equivalent to that gained in an apprenticeship program. Apprentice training in the design, lettering, and making of signs or training gained by the completion of technical courses in painting and sign painting may be substituted for the above experience on a year-for-year basis.
Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Sign Shop Supervisor 2, manufactures, repairs, and maintains Thruway signs; supervises and participates in the erection, maintenance, and repair of all field signs; supervises Sign Shop Workers and Laborers.
