Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level required: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Government, Public Policy or Administration, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or related fields.
Experience required: 5 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree and related work experience.
Knowledge required: Knowledge of construction management and project coordination, real estate, real estate and construction financing, and/or other fields related to government, public administration, and/or economic and real estate development.
Duties Description BASIC FUNCTION:
Facilitate and support CCDC project management in connection with expansion of the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City. Assist CCDC President in implementing expansion project within established schedules and budgets, including payment processes. Assist in coordinating CCDC administrative responsibilities.
•Assist CCDC President in facilitating and supporting expansion project team, contractors, and consultants, including attending job meetings with design and construction personnel;
•Facilitate and support project design and construction, budget, and schedule activities, including from project Field Office;
•Create and monitor CCDC planning and tracking documents and systems;
•Assist in monitoring relationships with project stakeholders;
•Present to community boards and local elected officials with project team members as necessary, to ensure project goals and expectations are timely and effectively communicated;
•Assist in administering key development and consulting contracts;
•Prepare materials for CCDC Directors and present to Directors and other oversight entities as necessary;
•Facilitate and support planning for operational readiness at project completion, including full integration with existing Javits, working closely with Javits operator;
•Coordinate with internal departments as well as State and City regulatory agencies; and
•Participate in other CCDC matters as directed by CCDC President
