Minimum Qualifications 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries; marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture; aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany; limnology; hydrology; or oceanography.

Duties Description Participate in reviewing applications for pesticide product registration. Assist in extracting and processing pesticide toxicity data from study reports. Assist in establishing digital database for ecological risk assessment records and developing additional modules for comprehensive evaluation of pesticide safety.

Participate in research projects investigating ecological impact from environmental contaminants. Assist in field collection and laboratory analysis of biological samples as well as data processing and preparation of study reports.

Additional Comments Must have valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and work in remote areas and adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.

These are seasonal, hourly appointments with an anticipated end date of 03/31/19. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to dates listed in duties description. Actual work schedule, duties, and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.
