Minimum Qualifications Current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as a Junior Superintendent of Construction and interested in reassignment;
Associate's degree in Engineering, Architectural Technology or Construction Technology;
Two years of experience assisting in the management of the building construction phase for medium to large construction projects from the inception to completion in the areas of cost estimating, document coordination review, adherence to building codes, construction planning/scheduling contract document reading and interpretation, and construction inspection.
Duties Description Duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Assist in the review of drawings, specifications and contract documents to retrieve data for the construction materials and procedures of construction projects.
• Inspect on-site construction materials used by contractors for small or single trade construction projects.
• Assist in the inspection of a portion of large State building construction projects to assure contractor adherence to specifications, contracts and work standards.
