70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
An employee with one year of permanent competitive service in the following titles may qualify for transfer pursuant to Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law:
Employment Counselor – Grade 18
Employment Counselor Spanish Language – Grade 18
Employment Services Representative – Grade 18*
Senior Unemployment Insurance Hearing Representative – Grade 20
Senior Unemployment Insurance Reviewing Examiner – Grade 20
Senior Unemployment Insurance Investigator – Grade 20
*If you became an Employment Services Representative by transfer from the Labor Services Representative title, you are not eligible to transfer to the Supervising Labor Services Representative title. Consecutive transfers cannot result in more than two salary grades or one M grade advancement.
Duties Description As a Supervising Labor Services Representative in the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions you would supervise professional and clerical staff through the development of a cohesive team that focuses on meeting Department needs by directing staff in a uniform approach ensuring the delivery of services to the agency’s customers. You may be responsible for representing the Commissioner of Labor and the Division Director at meetings with local workforce investment boards, the local Chamber of Commerce and other community based organizations.
Additional Comments Position specific job duties may include occasional altered work schedule or job assignments which require availability and willingness to work occasional evening and/or out-stationed assignments.
