Duties Description The Department of Financial Services is seeking to fill the position of Senior Administrative Analyst in the Human Resources Office in Albany, NY. This position will require regular travel to DFS’s NYC main office. Duties include, but may not be limited to:

• Serves as point of contact for DFS staff members regarding Financial Services Examiner (FSE) Traineeship;
• Assists and supports Human Resources recruitment of FSE trainees, such as attending college and career fairs;
• Coordinates and develops roll-out of new FSE traineeship classes, prepares interview schedules, analyzes exam data, prepares detailed spreadsheets, assists with final placements, provides proper and clear communication to business units and oversees and tracks entire Traineeship process;
• Serves as Human Resources FSE representative on Governance Committee for FSE Traineeship;
• Coordinates Governance Committee structure of higher level executives and responsible for monitoring process;
• Prepares FSE Traineeship and/or Governance Committee meeting agendas, correspondence, communication, and calendar appointments;
• Human Resources liaison with Training Unit as it pertains to FSE trainees;
• Works with Training Unit to ensure training opportunities for FSE trainees are in support of and in compliance with agency policies, procedures, operations and promotes future advanced career opportunities;
• Develops and maintains relationships with business unit designees to assess traineeship program needs;
• Evaluates traineeship program effectiveness through review and analytical input and feedback;
• Assists the Human Resources Director with projects related to advancing the FSE Traineeship agenda for DFS, as assigned;
• May supervise support staff;
• Word processing skills/abilities are a mandatory component of the assignment. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. is required. Strong familiarity with other computer systems, such as LATS, SFS (e.g., PRs, Travel Expense Reports), etc., is desirable; and
• Other special projects, as needed.

Excellent writing and communication skills, self-starter, outgoing, team oriented, attention to detail, organized and the ability to work effectively and professionally with higher level management staff is essential.
