Minimum Qualifications Minimum qualifications for taking the open-competitive examination: must have:
Either 1. graduated from high school or be in possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND one year of library clerical experience;
Or 2. 30 college semester credit hours, of which at least NINE college semester credit hours MUST be in any combination of the following: library/information science, computer applications, or information studies.
Minimum qualifications for taking the promotional examination: Three months of permanent competitive, 55-b/55-c, non-competitive, or labor class service in a clerical, keyboarding, or secretarial position allocated to Grade 6 or higher.
Qualifying experience for appointment from the eligible list: After one year of service described in the Minimum Qualifications, successful candidates will be qualified for appointment from the eligible list.
Duties Description Perform specialized library clerical activities in support of the library program such as organizing and maintaining the library collection and helping customers locate information.
Additional Comments Per diem, hourly, 20 hours a week.
