Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent, competitive class service as an Information Systems Auditor 1 or one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title approved for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Candidates who wish to apply for provisional appointment must meet the following qualifications: Seven years of application development experience that includes as primary responsibility the design, development, or evaluation of mainframe or server-based accounting or auditing systems and controls. A Bachelors Degree in accounting or computer science may substitute for four years of the experience.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Audit Manager or Audit Director, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and supervising audits, reviews, continuous monitoring and analytical projects. The department conducts operational, compliance and performance audits and reviews from initial entrance conference through final reporting. The incumbent will also provide value added consultative services on an as needed basis. Audits and reviews will involve financial, programmatic and administrative areas. Experience in internal auditing, with an emphasis on information technology and security auditing is required. Approximately 10% travel is required to visit each of the State Insurance Fund's Business Offices, as needed, to perform audit procedures.
