Minimum Qualifications One year of permanent competitive service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 3 or eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

Duties Description Working in the Office of Regional Operations and Practice Improvement, located at the New York City Regional Office, within the Division of Child Welfare and Community Services, the Children and family Services Specialist 3 will be responsible for the following duties:

Oversee a unit of five Supervisors, 6 agency leads, 5 business analysts, 3 Fire-Safety, 3 Permanency Specialists, additional contract staff and one Secretary.

Provide direct supervision to five Supervisors.

Work closely with the NYC Administration for Children’s Services and voluntary agencies around permanency, adoption and kinship care.

Act as a liaison to Home Office staff involved in permanency work.

Identify training needs.

Work closely with Directors of other NYCRO divisions as it relates to permanency work.

Maintain and provide statistical information for program areas.

Attend meetings with outside agencies
