Minimum Qualifications Applicant must be an employee of The Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and must have permanent or contingent permanent status as a Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1; OR be reachable on the Civil Service list; OR currently encumber a position in which you are eligible to transfer to this position.

FOR PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT: One year of service in a position at Grade 16 or above within OPWDD.

Duties Description The incumbent’s job duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Take the lead in managing all aspects of the provider auspice
change and merger projects, interfacing with a wide range of
stakeholders including DQI, Development, Capital Finance, DOH,
Counsel’s Office, and provider agencies.

• Developing a performance measurement program for region 4
under the supervision of the Deputy Director which includes
developing tracking systems, identifying metrics, and making
process improvement recommendations to senior leadership to
increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve coordination.

• Supervise the program aid who will assist the DDPS 1 in
managing auspice change and merger projects. The program
aid is also region 4’s point person for data analysis and
metrics/performance measurement.

• The DDPS 1 will carry a caseload of development projects, and
will follow all protocols and procedures associated with the
development process.
