70.1 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS: Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 11 or above and eligible for transfer under section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Program Aide in the Communications Office, the incumbent will:
-Open and distribute mail
-Answer phones from media outlets, the public, Governor’s Office and internal staff
-Maintain office supplies and Special Orders
-Enter SFS E-Procurement Requests
-Update monthly calendar for staff and calendars for managers
-Process Retirement Certificates for Commissioner and Governor
-Process Condolence Letters for Commissioner’s signature
-Draft correspondence for the Commissioner
-Set up meetings and appointments on behalf of the Director and staff
-Track all incoming and outgoing correspondence
-Enter SFS Travel Expense Reports for the Director and Associate Commissioner
-Make travel arrangements for staff
-Send out press releases upon request
-Update office Excel spreadsheets and office binders
-Process Publicity Clause Agreements
-Provide back-up to executive suite administrative staff
