Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
Duties Description - Perform a variety of tasks in the field of motor equipment maintenance.
- Perform routine tasks in the repair, maintenance and servicing of small engines, automotive and mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections of vehicles and equipment following preventive maintenance schedules to insure safe and trouble free performance.
- Perform additional automotive shop tasks as assigned.
Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and work in adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must have a valid Class B CDL within 6 months of appointment with appropriate endorsements. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 80 pounds.
This is a seasonal, hourly appointment with an anticipated end date of 3/31/19. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to date listed above. Actual work schedule and duties may vary and will be discussed at the interview
