Salary RangeFrom $36051 to $43131 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Current Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Current employee with permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as an Office Assistant 2 and interested in reassignment; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as an Office Assistant 2; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 7 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description • Coordinate and schedule meetings, courses and conference calls.
• Assist with inventory control.
• Review and distribute mail.
• Maintain files pertaining to the unit.
• Implement processing procedures and make recommendations for enhancement during periods of review.
• Retrieve and manage automated daily information submitted by the Federal government.
• Identify problems and work to resolve discrepancies with higher level staff.
• Ensure filing or record keeping systems are managed.
• Special projects or reports requested by management.
• Other clerical duties as assigned by supervisor
Additional Comments Support of operations during times of emergency and disaster from State Emergency Operations Center (EOC), state field offices and/or local deployments may be required, which would result in a change and/or increase in working hours, locations and/or duties.
