Minimum Qualifications On or before the date of filing application, you must possess a license to practice medicine in New York State. If you are licensed in another state or by written examination in Canada, you may be considered for appointment if you have a current limited permit to practice medicine in New York State. However, should you receive an appointment under this condition, your continued employment will be dependent upon your maintaining a valid New York State limited permit (which is issued for a specific time period) or obtaining a full New York State licensure. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment. You must also be eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare Programs. If you receive an appointment, your continued employment will depend upon maintaining eligibility. Failure to do so may result in termination of your employment. In addition, you must have a M.D., M.B.B.S. or D.O. degree; and have completed one year of post graduate training acceptable to the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education of the American Medical Association (or as listed in the Directory of Approved Residency Training Programs), and have had two years of subsequent medical experience.

Duties Description Deliver the required health care services consistent with the philosophy and objective of DOCCS Division of Health Services. Uniform or performance standards, document medical practice consistent with DOCCS Primary and Clinical Practice Guidelines and Health Services Policies.
