Minimum Qualifications Must have a license to practice medicine in New York State. You must also be eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Must have a M.D., M.B.B.S., or D.O. degree; and have completed one year of post graduate training acceptable to the Liaison Committee on Graduate Medical Education of the American Medical Association (or as listed in the Directory of Approved Residency Training Programs), and have had two years of subsequent medical experience.
Duties Description Serve at Clinical Practitioner on an advanced level, provide medical leadership, or serve as Director of specific programs. You may be in charge of a small medical/surgical service or part of a large service. Actively participate in the general medical care of the patient for whom you are responsible. Participate in planning, developing and improving delivery systems. You may be consulted and provide medical treatment for specific types of patients presenting unusual medical problems.
