Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or non-competitive 55 b/c service as an Information Technology Specialist 3 (Programming), SG-23, OR have one year of permanent service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will perform duties that include, but are not limited to the following: analyze, specify, design, code, test, and maintain programs, interfaces, console and web applications developed on the .NET and MVC framework as well as implement and maintain various commercial physical security information management software applications; work with users and others within the unit to define needs and design solutions.
• Administration and support of commercial security software
• Maintain and implement .NET/MCV web applications in Microsoft Visual Studio using VB, C# and Java
• Maintain and implement in-house developed security system middleware interfaces
• Develop application schema designs and data queries on both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database platforms
• Create user and technical documentation on supported systems
