Minimum Qualifications Permanent Qualifications: Candidates must currently be a permanent Treatment Team Leader-DD OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list

Transfer Qualifications: Candidate must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 or 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Some of the eligible titles include: Chief Occupational Therapist, Chief of Forensics Unit 1, Chief Physical Therapist, Chief Recreation Therapist, Licensed Psychologist, Mental Hygiene Nursing Program Coordinator, Principal Psychologist, Social Worker Supervisor 1, Speech, Language Pathology Audiology Program Coordinator 2, and Supervisor Rehab Services
Duties Description The Treatment Team Leader – Developmental Disabilities (DD) will provide administrative oversight to the Staffing and Special Projects Unit and will report directly to the Deputy Director for Taconic DDSOO. They will provide supervisory oversight to the Staffing Coordinators assigned to both regions of the Taconic catchment area. The Treatment Team Leader – DD will provide managerial oversight for the 79 residential program schedules to maximize staffing efficiency.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to:
• Monitor residential program schedules and efficiency of staff deployment
• Develop and facilitate supervisor training as it relates to schedule development and efficient deployment practices
• Supervision of Staffing Coordinators
• Develop and facilitate supervisor training as it relates to deployment practices
• Develop and facilitate supervisor training as it relates to overtime management strategies
• Special projects as assigned
Participation of Administrator on Call (AOC) system is required. Off hour visits to all sites are required.
Additional Comments NOTE: Travel within the five-county catchment area will be required in the performance of the duties of the position. This may include a state-owned vehicle, as available, or the employee’s own car. An employee who uses his/her own car will be reimbursed at current negotiated rates.
