Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive: Bachelor s degree in an art or design field such as art, drawing, painting, illustration, digital design, or interactive media and two years of experience; or an associate s degree in the same fields and four years of experience.
Duties Description The incumbent, under general direction of the Art Director, will be responsible for the creation of assigned design projects that further the mission of the Public Information Office Unit. This includes both internal and external educational and outreach communications. Design materials, using Adobe Creative Suite, to supplement content that advises and educates both internal and external stakeholders of changes to the Board’s policies and procedures, which may include: Print materials including but not limited to factsheets, pamphlets, brochures, posters, postcards, reports, and other publications; Logos/icons/informational graphics; Electronic newsletters; Event booths with corresponding displays for materials; Web assets (Intranet and Website); Multimedia project assets (including animations); Create unique WCB-related illustrations for use in multiple formats, such as, PowerPoint presentations, print materials and animations; Prepare design files for print and assist in the coordination of print jobs; Research stock photography and edit photos; Assist with PowerPoint presentations; Graphic design project documentation and organization; Ensure compliance with the NYS Branding Guidelines; Assist in form development, as needed; Organize the image library; Serve on project teams as needed, attending meetings discussing the development of design projects; Maintain and update the unit’s procedures and templates; May supervise lower level Graphic Designers and/or interns.
