Duties Description This position is with the Division of Child Care Services and will supervise staff and direct the work assignments related to enrolled legally-exempt child care. The incumbent will be responsible for the development of child day care statutes, regulations and policies that provide for the health and safety of children receiving a child care subsidy with a legally-exempt child care provider. In addition, this position provides technical assistance, guidance, and support to legally-exempt caregiver enrollment agencies and local social services districts.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to: working with legally-exempt caregiver enrollment agencies and Office of Information Technology Services programming staff to establish the user requirements and business rules for development of system supports and to conduct user tests of all system applications; coordinating and collaborating with the Professional Development Program, SUNY at Albany, to assess the training needs of legally-exempt caregiver enrollment agencies; and, developing and reviewing training curriculum and materials. Additionally, the CFSS 2, is responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the training program.
The position requires an individual who possesses leadership and multi-tasking skills, demonstrates a high level of verbal and written communication skills, and who has expert knowledge about the legally-exempt enrollment process and legally-exempt child care program health and safety issues.
