Minimum Qualifications An Associates degree and four years of professional experience. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

o Self-starter and effective problem solver who can work with minimal direction.
o Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with the ability to quickly learn new applications.
o Ability to operate in a demanding environment and handle challenging organizational issues.
Duties Description Under the direction of the NYS Lean Director and Deputy Director, the Lean Program coordinator provides executive assistant and program support function on a program that is currently engaged with 44 NYS agencies and authorities. This position is the first line of defense in maintaining a positive working relationship with all program partners, both internal and external to NYS government. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Executive Assistant functions:
o Make travel arrangements and perform expense reporting.
o Schedule meetings with Governor’s Office personnel, agency executives and corporate partners.
o Prepare executive presentations and reports.
Independently manage activities required to support meetings, training and workshops including:
o Scheduling resources.
o Setting up meetings including event notices, room reservations and logistic set-up including technology requirements.
o Responding to email requests for information.
o Serve as SharePoint Administrator; maintaining the site and other databases to track Lean activities.
o Assist with the creation of materials and PowerPoint training presentations.
o Interfacing with agency personnel to obtain Lean performance information.
o Compiling and organizing data for Governor’s Office reports.
o Developing administrative processes to enable the program to support agencies efficiently.
