Salary RangeFrom $40324 to $49417 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or a 70.1 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title*.
*In addition, candidates must be able to enter text at a rate of 30 words per minute corrected with at least 96% accuracy. Candidates must either provide documentation of their typing skills or pass a performance test before being considered for appointment.

Duties Description This Secretary 1 position is located in the State Supplement Program (SSP) Bureau, within Employment and Income Support Programs.
The incumbent will serve as the Secretary to the SSP Director. Duties include:
• Answer Phones;
• Track Work Assignments;
• Personnel Coordination and Scheduling;
• Serve as the Information Technology (IT) Contact for SSP;
• Track IT Ticket requests;
• Track SSP Performance Evaluations deadlines;
• Scheduling Interviews;
• Assist with the assimilation of New Hires;
• Track Computer inventory;
• Serve as the contact point with the Social Security Administration (SSA) for Government to Government issues and reports;
• Process key application requests (State Online Query, SSP, Government to Government); and
• Organizational Chart Updates.
Additional Comments Appointment is contingent on the Division of the Budget approval to fill. A full-time contingent permanent appointment will be made. You must be a current NYS employee to apply for this position. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
