70.4 TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with one-year permanent competitive service as a Grade 11 or higher, who have a bachelor’s degree*, and who have taken and passed the most recent examination for Labor Services Representative, Trainee 1, may qualify for transfer.
*From an educational institution accredited by a regional, national or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
As a Labor Services Representative, you would assist customers and provide a broad range of services to jobseekers and employers both on an individual basis and through group presentations. You would interview customers to evaluate the nature of services desired, obtaining a complete work history including job experience, education, skills, salary ranges and job preferences. You would identify barriers to employment and develop solutions to these barriers. Intensive job placement assistance is key through developing skills-based resumes, successful employment interview coaching, providing continuing job leads, conducting employment referrals and advocating for the job seeker when applying for a job. You would provide information on resources available through the Department of Labor.
