Duties Description As a Program Aide assigned to the BPM, you will use various computer applications to support recruitment and hiring activities for the DOH including managing the use of NYS Civil Service eligible lists. You will process requests for eligible lists using databases; maintain appropriate security protocols; canvass eligible lists to identify interested candidates; track and coordinate use of disseminated eligible lists; review recruitment materials and validate eligibility of selected candidates for appointment; provide appropriate recruitment documentation to the Department of Civil Service, and consult with Civil Service staff concerning lists issues or discrepancies. You will schedule and track Language Proficiency Exams and administer typing proficiency exams; review and audit appointment transactions for completeness, accuracy and compliance with applicable Civil Service laws; maintain recruitment folders; participate in the review of internal procedures; and assist with special projects, as needed.
