Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience* in equal employment opportunity, human rights, or affirmative action; or bachelor’s degree and satisfactory completion of a two year traineeship.
*Qualifying experience includes working with community service organizations concerned with affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, civil rights, diversity management, minority business development, or similar programs; recruiting, training, and upgrading the educational and job qualifications of protected class members; or working in human resources in areas directly related to affirmative action.
Duties Description * Skilled in researching, gathering, analyzing and evaluating data on the composition of the agency workforce and areas of NYS,
* Obtains raw data from the HRIS agency system and provides overall agency’s workforce demographic reporting,
* Assist in developing and revising policies, procedures, and guidelines,
* Use applicant and eligible list candidate pool information to make interview referrals of protected class persons to hiring divisions,
* Conduct and/or consult on diversity, cultural, or cross cultural awareness activities/initiatives or training programs,
* Develop training components for existing training curriculum or develop and/or deliver specific diversity related curriculum,
* Have a solid foundational knowledge of Civil Service and EEO related laws, rules, regulations and policies,
* Attend workshops and training sessions as available,
* Actively engage in all phases of recruitment as appropriate,
* Build and maintain a database to advise of upcoming agency employment opportunities,
* Reviews accommodation requests from employees and prospective employees,
* Reviews discrimination complaints and inputs information into electronic log,
* Work in partnership with the Ergonomic Program area; and,
* Travel as needed

* Ability to run various mathematical calculations,
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy; and,
* Adept at report writing and presenting findings.
