Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a Public Safety Grants Representative 2 title and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law, or a reachable score on the Civil Service eligible list for this title.

Duties Description The Community Correction Representative 2 (CCR 2) will be assigned to the Juvenile and Youth Justice Unit within OPCA. Under the supervision of the CCR 3, the CCR 2 will perform a quality assurance role in monitoring the successful implementation of the Raise the Age (RTA) legislation, and will monitor compliance with regulations related to juvenile/youth justice within the probation departments. Duties of the CCR 2 include, but will not be limited to, coordinating with probation departments, local juvenile/youth justice stakeholders and NYS partners in regards to RTA; conducting action planning with probation departments regarding juvenile/youth justice functions, and promoting evidence-based practices including effective client engagement; conducting action planning and providing technical assistance to juvenile/youth justice program providers and probation departments regarding RTA matters; coordinating with the Office of Justice Research and Performance (OJRP) and the Office of Youth Justice (OYJ) to obtain county-specific data and to enhance juvenile/youth justice practices in New York State; providing training to probation professionals throughout New York State in regards to youth justice matters; and conducting critical incident reviews of probation matters involving youth up to the age of 18.
